First Ideas

The genre of our film would be a coming of age / high school drama with aspect of comedy. Our target audience would be 13 - 19 year old students who have a general routine of going to college everyday, they can relate to. The main narrative technique would be Tzvetan Todorov's five stage theory, where the movie starts with an equlibrium of his day to day life. The viewer learns how the main character (male or female) is a loser and the opening sets up his/he relationships, such as his/her best friends and the girl/boy of their dreams. The general mood will be feel good and comedy, yet the viewer will be made to sympathise with this character. Currently in our group is Amelia and Megan.
