When it came to casting, we had a rough idea of who we were going to chose to be our main cast, but to be totally sure, we asked the potential to act some of the film, while standing in front of a mirror. We felt this would show whether they felt confident enough doing this shot where they would be looking at themselves in a mirror, with also having a camera pointing at them. The results, to be honest, weren't too helpful as all potential actors/actresses passed it and it was up to us to chose who would be best for the role in our eyes. In the end, out of the people above, we decided to have Steph playing the part of our main female character as she, compared to all other potentials, had more experience with acting, and she was quite used to the storyline as she had experienced a simple situation as the character she was to play.
We were unsure who to chose when it came to casting the main male character, but in the end decided with Tom as he lived the nearest and he proved to be somebody who wasn't camera shy! We also needed some extras so we've asked a group of Tom's friends if they wouldn't mind being in some of the backgrounds of the shots to act as some other students going to college. Hopefully our decisions we chose will be the right ones!
